Event Fundraisers

Walkathon
The staff and students of St. Martin of Tours Academy have the opportunity to participate in a Walkathon each year to raise funds for something that directly benefits our school and education. Walkathons have a record of being successful fund-raisers. Last year, we raised approximately $28,000 which was used to upgrade technology in the computer lab. Because of the improvements we implemented, the quality of our computer program has been greatly enhanced and the student learning is phenomenal. This year, $25,438.00 was raised to construct a permanent patio covering for kindergarten and to replace and extend the patio covering over the tables in the upper lunch area. Hence our slogan, “Walk in the Shade”.  (Each year a portion of the proceeds will also go towards technology.)

The walk was held on Thursday, November 10 at Santee Lakes.

Our walkathon is a wonderful community event and an opportunity to focus on physical fitness and teamwork. We always have fun, too!
