St. Martin of Tours is a co-educational Kindergarten through eighth-grade Catholic elementary school located in La Mesa, California. The school offers students the best in elementary and junior high education and life skills. In addition to offering a strong faith-based education, St. Martin of Tours Academy offers a unique philosophy of instruction that enhances our Catholicity and student engagement: Workshop Way® philosophy of Education. School tours are welcomed by appointment throughout the year. It is not required to be Catholic to attend. Learning support services are available for students with learning challenges.

Way
Each morning at St. Martin of Tours Academy begins in a tranquil classroom environment, enhanced by calming music designed to stimulate the brain. Students then progress through their personalized "Schedule of Tasks" at their own pace. These tasks are thoughtfully designed to support holistic development and cover a wide range of curriculum areas.
During this time, teachers conduct one-on-one check-ins with students, while teacher aides facilitate small group activities or provide individualized support and challenges as needed. Tasks are balanced between independent work and collaborative projects, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging learning experience for all students.

We also coordinate with public school districts to transition student IEPs and 504 plans into personalized Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) at St. Martin of Tours Academy.

The school undergoes an evaluation and visit from Western Association of Colleges every three-six years. The school has received the highest possible ranking, with a full six year term through June 30, 2030.
